Welcome to the Knutsford School Parents and Teachers Association (PTA) web page.
Knutsford PTA is a voluntary organisation run by parents/carers of children who attend the school along with staff members. The sole purpose of the PTA is to raise funds that can be used by the school to improve amenities and to enhance the learning experience of the children. Every parent/carer and member of staff is a member of the PTA. Anything from getting involved in planning events, helping run them or simply just attending, actively supports the PTA.
Every year, the volunteers of the PTA raise thousands of pounds for the school through the organisation of social activities such as the Summer/Christmas Fayres, Discos, Bags2School, BBQs, Family Photographer, along with sales of cake, ice cream, school uniform and Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gifts. As well as raising money, PTA events are an excellent way to meet fellow parents. We try and meet at least once every half term – the dates are communicated on the weekly newsletters – everyone welcome!
In addition, parents/carers who want to be involved but cannot attend meetings can send an email to the PTA address (pta@knutsford.primaryacademy.org.uk) and they will be added to a mailing list. They will receive meeting minutes and also be looped into specific requests for help.
PTA fund raising has been used by the school for the provision of:
– Playground equipment in the KS1 and KS2 playgrounds
– Y6 Leavers school time party and end of year gift
– Lunchtime play boxes for each class
– Knutsford University activities
– Easter chicks and Easter egg competition prizes
– KS1 reading books
– Class parties
