Knutsford Primary Academy Eco Warriors strive to improve the school through hands-on, real-world, project based learning about and from their local environment.
We are committed to waste reduction, energy efficiency, and developing our school gardens. We work together to develop a sustainable and healthy educational environment, and strengthen the school infrastructure by saving money on energy costs.
We are constantly looking for ways to improve the sustainability of Knutsford and do so with ongoing support from staff, children and families.
The Eco-Warriors developed an Eco Code for the school:
E – Everyone should put litter in the bin
C – Check the lights are off when you leave the room.
O – Organise your waste into the right bins.
C – Change from using plastic bags to re-usable bags.
O – ‘Oh No, litter!’
D – Don’t leave the taps running.
E – Everyone should look after the environment to make the world a better place.
